Adopting Families |
|
All There Is To Know | |
| OSP students are encouraged to take advantage of Israeli hospitality by enjoying the experience of having an "adopted" family for the semester or year that they spend in Israel. Many families near the University welcome international students into their homes to allow them the comfort of knowing that they have a family away from home. | |

First hand meetings
The relationship is designed to be informal; students can visit their host families from once a week to once a semester, depending on the individual. The experience allows students a good opportunity to learn more about Israeli society and the issues that affect its citizens. Chatting over tea with mint, students can hear the older members of the family share some tales, they can hang out with the younger children in the house, or they can just relax in front of the television, with a friend! Students should notify the OSP staff during the orientation or Ulpan period if they are interested in being assigned an adoptive family. |
